I hate those old stories people tell. The ones that apparently have a moral to them. You know, the stupid things like Little Red Riding Hood or Hansel and Gretel? Yeah. I really, really fucking hate them.

There's an awful lot of rules and guidelines and what have you cropping up on these journal pages and I've honestly never laughed so hard at a set of rules in my life. I reckon it's probably good that I've never been into the whole emo look, which judging by, um, two womens opinions is a terribly good thing.

It's awful but I've been purposely looking out for a man who has all of the qualities listed, or the majority of them. It's an interesting thing when you realise just how many there are.

Well, maybe not interesting but it made me laugh nonetheless.

It's bloody awful when that's about all I've got to say about the past few days but I've done nothing of any real importance. There's a five year olds bedroom that still needs tidied from last week so Adam hasn't either and I think that really is the long and short of it: neither of us have done much but sit so many movies it seems ridiculous. It got to the point were Adam was trying to force me to let him watch Dawn of the Dead, The Pit and the Pendulum and the four Hannibal Lecter movies (two versions of Red Dragon, after all. Well, except one isn't called Red Dragon.) and that's a bit odd. I shouldn't have let him riffle through my movies. I worry the bugger has stolen some and hidden them in his room so he can watch them when I leave.

It seems plausible given the sudden disappearance of It.

Can you have crises of faith that have nothing to do with religion? And why do they have to do with religion? People have faith in all kind of things that aren't bloody God, or Buddha, or whatever other deity you can think of. I wonder why the term "crisis of faith" seems to have been claimed as a phrase that has a purely religious meaning, then, if faith is something that we have in bloody everything. We've faith that the sun will rise, we've faith that the oxygen in the world won't run out, we've faith in magic, we've faith in people. Is it a crisis when we're torn up over whether that faith is deserved or not?

How can you not speak ill of someone who killed someone you loved?

I'm going to scatter her ashes and there'll be his as well and...it's so unbelievably daft but I feel a bit ill thinking about it. He killed her, or I'm fairly sure he did anyway and she even said and she loved him. Even if wasn't completely right at that moment in time he's still the reason she's dead and she asked us not to speak ill of him. What great sins we'll forgive for love, eh?

This is bollocks

It's not bloody true

I can't...I--this is shite. I only saw her the bloody other day. I was talking to her, or writing to her, in my bloody journal about sheep of all fucking ridiculous things. I was even writing to bloody him, which is a rare occurrence. And...and they're bloody well dead?

I don't know what she was to most of you, but Seren was one of my bloody best friends. She was my best friend and she's fucking well dead now. And that hurts

Christ. This is unreal.

Does...does anyone know how it happened?

You know, despite the fuss and the general air of business around the season, Christmas--and New Years, for that matter--has got to be the most boring time of the year. I've never wanted something to happen quite as much. Tell me it's not just me who can't wait for this to be over. Or just for...something remotely interesting to happen. God, it's not that much to ask.

Someone should bomb something or other. Er. For the record, that's meant to be a joke in bad taste.

Fucking up now.

Oh, Dora looks very attractive with fur. I just thought you all would appreciate the knowledge.

Adam's pretty determined to have a sleepover, now, thanks to a suggestion made a few days ago in front of him. It's awful. The last time he'd a sleepover...well. Let us just say it didn't end well. But he's being so bloody persistent and he really hasn't had one in about half a year or something like that and...God, I'm such a push over when it comes to him, it's not even remotely funny. I really shouldn't cave on this but I want to.

Worst. Parent. Ever.

There should be some kind of law against being woken up at half five when you only collapse at quarter to four.
